Self-Adhesive Premband™ Bitumen Sealing Strips
A bitumen based joint tape, co-extruded with an adhesive film consisting of polymer modified bitumen, for sealing vertical joints in highway construction and maintenance to prevent the ingress of water. For use on asphalt to asphalt, asphalt to concrete and asphalt to steel joints, it prevents further deterioration by sealing out water, chemical pollutants, weed seeds and other pollutants/contaminants. Providing a uniform flexible seal across the joint face, Self-Adhesive Premband™ is ideal for base and wearing course joints and can withstand movement from traffic load and thermal changes.
Self-Adhesive Premband™ has now been in use for over 25-years in Europe and is suitable for use on both concrete or asphalt road joints. It can be applied by hand or by machine on larger projects.
Where required due to project specifications or site requirements, a compatible primer is optionally available. A primer is not essential to the performance of Self-Adhesive Premband™.
